'96 183 Shabah
I purchased my first Mariah boat this spring and am loving it!
I do however have a question about the particular model. I know it is a Shabah and it's a 183, but is this also considered a "Z" model? Is it really a Z183? If not what makes a Mariah boat a "Z"? Thanks in advance for any help. Eric |
I never heard of a Z183.... I heard of a Z182 or Shabah Z182. Hope that helps

the "Z" is the top end accesory package
if your boat has accesories you would never need and never use and seem like tons of overkill, then you have the Z, like winshield wipers/defrosters, power engine hatch |
This has me wondering if my boat has an identity crisis. I have none of those fancy features, yet there is a Z202 logo on the side glass right behind the vent windows.

Yes, there is a 183 Shabah model. However I don't believe they released a Z-Series 183. 1996 is the only year we do not have any promo material from. :(

I agree with Chris. I have a 96 180SE. I'm pretty sure that there was only a
180SE and 182SE in 1996. |
Ok new question. What is an SE model?
The main reason I ask is I've been looking at adding a swimming platform and I need to be sure I have the correct model. Thanks for the reply's. Eric |
SE is either the sport edition or standard edition, basically not the Z model.

From what I've found looking around (for about a month) is that there was only an SE model in 96 but a 180 and 183. I found a trick to check and someone else can verify on this thread. If you google some of the bimini cover sights, they have a boat selector tool and most list every model of boat for every year.

Just out of curiousity....did the SE versions just come with closed bows?
