Gas Spring struts rear sun deck
 

I'm wondering if anyone knows the manufacture spec's for the gas spring struts that lifts the sun deck to access the engine compartment on a 1999 Mariah Shabah 182. Both of my springs are locked open and I need to replace both. The number on the springs are "SL34-90. I don't know if these are the original spring sizes. It seems to me that two springs of "90 lbs" pressure may be too excessive for what it is lifting. I suspect this because one of the mounts that attached the spring to the boat has pulled away from the boat. Any help is appreciated.
