Default Sun pad lift moving very slooooowww......

94' Shabah 212Z. The lifts are moving very slow, thought one motor might be burnt out, and thought it might be batt issue.

Took the lifts out, and direct connected them to good battery and both motors are very strong. Not the lifts, and not the batt.

Sounds like wiring connection. I'm going to trace all the wires and connections, anyone do this before? Anything specific to look for, like certain places in Mariah's are prone to corrosion or anything?

Mine is in pristine condition for a 94, and never seen salt. Probably just a bad connections somewhere.

For some reason, the contacts tend to get dirty on a lot of the contact points on these boats. I think the electrical sealant they used just didn't have the lifespan they thought. It's usually not a big deal, it can be remedied by cleaning the contacts whenever you have issues. Just about every one of us has had some issue with gauges, lights, or switches that gets resolved by cleaning the contacts.
