Did a quick search on Google and this company came up several times... Boat History Report.com: Click Here

They give you a history on your boat depending on official records like DMV and any insurance reports like the ones for autos (Carfax)

That maybe, and even though this information should be available to the public through public records kept on file where one has to register their boat, the time it takes to go there and do the research may make the $35 or $45 worth avoiding all the headaches.

True, just seems like the price is a little high for information, like you said, should be available for free to someone who really wants the info.

I have a file of all Mariah Boats that were made in Benton, Il. If you provide me with your HIN, I can tell you which Boat Dealership received and sold your boat new or if it went to a boat show and was possibly sold there. Several Mariah Boats were manufactured and sent to boat shows across the country. If it did go to and sell at a boat show, I will not have the info as to which Dealer may have bought it.

Let me know and I'd be glad to look it up for you.
