2001 Shabah 202Z Specifications

Greetings,

I'm the proud owner of a 2001 202Z with 59 total hours. I'm trying to purchase a bimini top but haven't been able to find specification information on this boat to ensure I'm buying to correct part. The websites all give me different recommendations on size it appears.

Can someone point me to a website or maybe copy of the original product brochure for this particular year and model?

Seriously, nothing?

At least need some input on the appropriate bimini sizing for a 2001 model? I can't get consistent recommendations. What have people used for aftermarket?

Also, still trying to figure out Magnum vs Non-Magnum motor. Is it labeled on the air intake and quite obvious?

Sorry, guys, I'm slowly trying to educate myself but can be considered a Mariah retard currently!!

If you become a contributing memeber to this forum you will have access to all the manuals and brochures.

I know several members have bought aftermarket bimini tops, maybe someone will chime in soon on where and what size they sourced.

As for the motor, if it's a mag it should say so on the cowl covering the flame arrestor. If it just says 350, or 5.7L it's most likely not a magnum motor.

Bimini tops, hardware, and just about everything else were made in-house, and unfortunately are no longer available since they closed the factory in 2001. Your best bet is to take the measurements yourself, or have a custom top made specifically for your boat. Like Z202 said, there are a few members who have added aftermarket bimini tops here, feel free to make use of our Search button and look for "bimini", that should at least point you in the right direction!

and yes, the Magnum motor should be clearly labeled on the engine cover.

Ok, thanks. That is what I expected but was hoping it wasn't the case. Non-magnum for me but I figured so. Just a small prayer I guess.

I understand thee parts are all no obselete. I was trying to understand people's experience with aftermarket tops. Either way, I'll figure it out as you suggest through measurements.

Thanks!

I have the standard 5.7L in mine. It's more than enough engine for the boat. I can easily run 55mph with 5 people on board. I suspect the magnum would only add a couple of mph more...

I got mine here:

Excellent construction, and it mounted and was in use in an hour.

Good luck!
