Post Boat Storage Cover

Hello everyone. My 2000 Z222 custom storage cover is finally showing signs of wear. It has been a great cover!!! The markings on the label say Aqualon Fabric by Astrup Stock number TC 222. Does anyone know who made these covers or where I can get a new one? I'm dreading taking this one off and someone using it as a template to make a new one if there is a manufacturer out there with the template waiting for business.

Hi Z222 Fan, and welcome to the club!

If your cover came from the Mariah, then it was probably made in house and is no longer available. The Aqualon Fabric is still available and any good canvas shop should be able to acquire it and make you up a new cover though it may be expensive. They should be able to replicate your existing cover without taking it apart.

    Good luck,
    WetWilly

WetWilly's right, all the canvas and upholstery were custom made in house, so there's no real "template" that still exists. Many places online will sell custom and semi-custom premade covers, but trust me, they're not worth it at all. Your best bet, since you still have the original, is having a canvas shop make you a new one using your old one as a template.

I bought a new cover last year for my z210 shabah. If I remember right I got it from Iboats.com. They had my boat in their lineup of custom covers. I had in made from the sharkskin material. The red matches my boat real well and it has a very nice fit also. I dont have my boat back from winter hibernation yet or I would post a pic for you. I still have the origional cover and it looks to be in good shape, but it leaks a little when it rains. the new sharkskin keeps it dry as a bone.

Thanks for all the good feedback! I'll do some research on the shark skin cover and see if they have one in for mine. I'll also check out some local cover makers and compare. Will let you know what I find out.

    I'm impressed, looks great!

What'd that cover cost you, if you don't mind me asking?
