Default 2000 202 Shabah Owners Manual

What are the chances of a 2000 owner’s manual just laying around waiting to be sent in and posted on the site? I would be glad to pay for the postage and any stress related conditions incured during the separation of such a prized possession.

There's never really been a specific "manual". Mariah supplied what they called an "Owners Manual" which was just a Boating Basics and Safety Rules & Regulations book from at least 1992. Starting around 1996, Mariah formed a 3-ring binder that contained useful information. In the binder there was that book called an "Owners Manual", but it was the same as all the previous versions. I've seen material dating back to 92, and the only thing that ever changed was the physical size of the book. It used a pocket-sized guide, but by 1997, it became a fullsize book to fit inside the binders.

We've got copies of the 94, 96, and 97 books in our Original Mariah Manuals and Supplements section. You can download any of them, and it'll be the same as the 2000 year. 97 is the fullsize version, I'd recommend that one!

Are you having a problem with something in particular, or just confused by something on your boat? Just ask away, we've got tons of people willing to help!

    Chris,

Thank you for the sincere concern to my post. I am lucky enough to have found a mint Mariah with 42 original hours on her. She is perfect.....except for the manual and the double pivoted hinges for the bench seat. I manufactured my own with 316 stainless and the TIG in the garage. As for the manual, there was not one to be found. I was hoping to get a copy until i can locate one if ever. But what you are telling me is that the manual never changed but the dated cover did? Is that correct? That’s seems a little odd.

I just bought a 98 Shabah z202 this week (finally!!! ). It came with all the original manuals & papers all wrapped in a cool Mariah binder. But Chris is right, the "owners manual" is nothing more than a generic boaters guide.

If there's something specific you want to know from the 98 papers, I can look it up or take pictures of it, but sorry, I won't part with it

    Blockp,

I think we can all agree an owner's manual contains no true value to the operations of the boat, hardly do they ever. It just a manual that is provide to the owner as a distraction to help overlook the thining of the wallet. Like many original Mariah owners, I am very meticulous and it would be a great addition the package deal. So that being said, Blockp, I happy for you. I hope you enjoy your new ride.

Hah. Well said. My wallet has definitely lost quite a bit of weight this week.

Thanks. I've been looking at and drooling over Mariah's for 5 years or so. I said that one day, I'll own one. Priorities finally came around at the same time as a decent deal did, so now I'm the owner of a sweet boat.

I've only had it in the water for the test drive. I'm hoping to get it out a bit before I have to winterize it and tucking it in for the winter.

Yes, that's what I'm telling you. I've had my hands on all sorts of Mariah materials from 1992-2001, and even the late 2001 models have the same exact book. There's no changes. It does seem odd, but I'm 100% sure of this...

They put more attention into the boats, and I'm glad they did that instead!

Hi blockp, I have recently bought an Mariah Shaba 202 from 1998, I read your comment, and I am woundering if you know how to get the owners manual, or any manual explaining how the instrument panel is working (the functions of all buttons)? Do you also know how to get the Electric scheme for the boat/Engine ?

    Thanks in advance.

    best regards
    Tom

Tom, this is a 5 year old thread you have reopened. Regarding an Owners Manual, please read this 'sticky'. For all other manuals etc, since you are silver contributor you have access to them in the Original Mariah Manuals & Supplements section.
