Default Mariah color??

Hey hey.... well its been a great season! Boat works awesome and love my Mariah Shabah!! Always wanted one and impressed with the workmanship/quality and performance.... may have to upgrade a few years. Hope everyone had a great season....

Have a question about color. I was wanting to put a new snap cover on the boat and checked out sunbrella but just wondering if there is a color name for my '96 Mariah Shabah 19' ??? The color is like a turquoise or blue green color. Or does anyone know of any other marine fabric place ?? Here's a pic of the dash...

    Uhhhhh.... Dash?....... What dash???

    Sorry...

The brochure calls that color "Bimini".

Most places will send samples so you can match up the right color. Sunbrella is obviously one of the best, and to tell you the truth, I can't think of any other "big name" brands right now. I'd probably just try a search on google for boat covers and see what comes up. I know a lot of people (including myself) have purchased from Overton's. They are quite good, lots of products, and decent prices. Good luck!

Glad the season turned out well for you. You had the proper boat!!!

    Welcome to the board!

As indykoch said, "Bimini" is the color Mariah used in '96. However, not sure if that's an official Sunbrella color. But I'm sure they make something under a different name that's the same color. After all, they are the largest and most durable marine canvas manufacturer in the country.

Here's what I recommend. Talk to local boaters, see if they recommend any specific shops for canvas work. If not, open up your local yellow pages and look under "Boat Covers, Tops & Upholstery". You could also check out any local marinas or custom car upholstery shops, they should be able to do it as well, or at least point you in the right direction. Most canvas shops will measure your boat and use those to make a template for a new cover and custom make you a brand new one. This is what I'd recommend, as you'll get the best fit. Try and stay away from ordering pre-made ones off the net, as the measurements are usually wrong. (just ask me about my storage cover sometime!)

If you have trouble finding places, let us know, we'll try and help you find one!

I think the colour is 'blonde' but it could be my eyes or my monitor....

    Default Mariah color?? canopy?

    haha

I had Sunbrella send me some sample swatches but they sent me all green colors. Im thinking it'd be a more Aqua marine color or something like that. I just thought maybe someone on the forum would have the same boat color and have a swatch color from sunbrella that they used or some other company ??

Also just wondering if anyone changed there boat to have the canopy up like the newer models??? See pics >> like the new mariah's and crownline... I know I know.. sorry for the crownline pics....

    hey hey hey

    welcome to the boards

yeah I would go with the blue if its not possible to match the exact dash COLOUR then go with a slightly darker shade of blue cause not forgetting over time it will eventually bleach depending on how much sun its exposed to

Hey good post there hunny ..

She is right. Depends on how well the interior was cared for and how much sun it has received over the years. I would just aim for something close to the COLOUR of the blue.

I started on Google as Shabah mentioned and emailed a place in New York that wanted me to "bring down the boat to measure". Once I told him I lived in Canada, I never recevied a reply back.

The local custom fabric location was overly expensive. Upwards of $800-900 CDN funds by the time it was done.

    Maybe another time... or boat.
