Hi Mariahvirgin,

The top you're referring to is what's called a "Bimini" top (no relationship to your interior color) and yes, several of our members have added them to their Mariahs so I'm sure they'll be chiming in soon.

I believe the current debate is to add new main mounts for the Bimini or use the existing ones on the side windows. There is some question as to whether the side windows can handle the stress of the Bimini when it's up and your moving at a good clip. Now the rear poles in the second picture can be added easliy with just a couple of additional brackets and they just hold the Bimini up when closed.

If you want it to last, I recommend using Stainless Steel hardware, it's more expensive, but worth it in the long run.

What?!? I thought the debate was how to spell?!?:shakehead: Can the Admins create an alternate language of the site for our Canadian friends? I want them to be able to recognise our humour and the flavour it's intended!!!:rolling_laugh: And by the way... I only listen (sometimes) to one queen, and she surely isn't from England!!!!

Back on track here - I'd highly suggest the bimini attaching to the gunwale, not the window frame. Besides the difficutly and cost obtaining a replacement window, I have a friend with a fairly new Crownline that has the bimini attached to the window frame (from the factory) and he's had problems. Look at a Cobalt or even a brand new Crownline, and they moved it to the gunwale.

It looks like Sunbrella's website has an "Aquamarine" color... er... I mean... colour that would match quite well (see attached image).

Ah, Bimini and Pearl, my favorite color combo!! ;)

I did my boat name lettering in Turquoise, and it's a pretty close match.
