Pulled the Trigger!

After spending a few months on the site and looking at a couple of Mariah's here in Austin, I finally pulled the trigger! :wink_thumbup:
Specs: 1999 Mariah Z202 Ivory with Black Cherry 5.7L V8 250 hours Original Trailer $11,500 She is in excellent shape, and just had the Gimbal/Bellows/Water Pump replaced in May. Runs like a top! Our maiden voyage was a 22 mile run from the previous owner's marina to our boat dock. Thanks again to the site and all of our contributors...helped A LOT in the process. One more quick question...who do you guys use for boaters insurance? I have used Ski Safe for YEARS with our ski boats, but they won't insure Mariah boats...any suggestions? |
Great find!!! Looks like a very nice boat! I love the colors!
I insure mine through State Farm, but that's only because I have about 8 other policies with them and somehow believe I'm getting a good rate on everything!?!?! Congrats!!! Your shopping around and educating yourself with Mariahs has paid off! |
I use Allstate for all my insurance, home, boat, cars, they give a discount for multiple. Did your insurance company say why they would not insure your Mariah? Sounds kinda strange to me.

I agree with indy, great looking boat:wink_thumbup:Sounds like you got a pretty good price on her too. SWEET
|
Ended up going with Progressive for the boat insurance.
$300/year, not bad. |
Not a bad price. I just looked mine up - $337 with State Farm. That's with a 300hp engine on a 21' boat (which probably raises it), but with multiple policies (which probably lowers it). I guess I'm not getting screwed too bad!
Again, great looking boat! And for a great price! Welcome aboard! |
New Bimini top arrived today, and I have placed my LED order as well as ordering a capacitor for the fuel gauge.
Will post more pics this weekend. |
I use BoatUS for insurance and vessel assist...

Capacitor for the fuel guage? Will/does that help the bouncing needle?
May see you around the lakes of Austin... JD |
Hi jade050,
The capacitor is for stabilizing the fuel needle so you can see the amount of fuel you have and from what I've read, yes, it really works! Here is the thread where member rjobe introduced this upgrade to the rest of us: Click here WetWilly |
