Help with talari

I am new to the site forgive me if I posted in wrong place. I have a 1994 talari 210 that I bought a couple weeks ago. When I bought it, it cranked long and finally did start and run fine. Previous owner said it had been like that for awhile but always started. I have had it out 3 times and have had longer crank times when I first get to ramp and once it starts it runs fine. After sitting for 30-45 mins swimming it is hard to start just not as bad as first getting to ramp. Any help would be appreciated. Have been looking into new fuel pump but can’t find any part numbers or it.

Would help to know what motor you have... could be fuel pump is weak or it could be time to rebuild your carb and do a tune up, all common things.

Sorry it’s a 5.0 mercruiser with mechanical fuel pump and 2 barrel carb. Previous owner said he had just replaced fuel filter in spring. Once it starts it runs good.

I agree with S&S. It sounds like it just needs a good tune-up and timing adjustment first. Next in line would be a carb rebuild.
