Default oem or custom boat covers

I just resently sold my seaswirl spyder sport and bought a 00 202 shabah. What can you say but "What a boat". it has less than 60hours and is perfect. I need some help. I am trying to find oem bow cover and cockpit cover. I am have no luck. I would mind aftermarket but every web site I go to has a drop down menu that excludes Mariah. Can some one point me to a thread or a web addy. I live in Austin and looking for something close? Any help would be great.

    Hi tfn1977,

Finding an original Bow and Cockpit cover for your Shabah is going to be like looking for the proverbial pin in the haystack as the original Mariah company closed back in 2001 and OEM covers are harder to locate that the Holy Grail...

For the bow and cockpit covers, if you already have the snaps in place, forget the internet. Pull out your local phone book and contact the marine canvas shops in you area, they'll make sure the new covers fit right.

I don't know what price range your looking at, but our Z240 didn't come with a bow cover so I have one made for it out of Sunbrella and I also had a custom windshield cover made for trailering. The total was a little over $500( about $250 for the bow and SS snaps).

    Here's what it looks like:

Make sure to look at examples of their work before settling on a particular shop.

    Good luck,
    WetWilly

    Wet Willy,

That is what i am looking for. It is a good looking cover and the craftsmanship looks great and the price is better than I would have expected. Thank you for heading me in the right direction.

I also had a cockpit cover made for mine, at the beginning of the season last year. He came out, took the measurements, and a few weeks later I had a brand new black sunbrella top. Photos below. They were taken the day it was made, so it looks loose, but after one day in the sun, it stretched to fit perfect. He also added two more poles in the rear to aid in rain runoff, so it doesn't pool in the back of the cover. I love it, and it's very well made.

One thing I'll advise you of, timing. If you can wait until the end of the season, most canvas shops are literally struggling for any business they can get. Prices drop when the demand for work goes down. In-season is peak pricing time. I believe I paid around $750 for mine. Lesson learned there!!!

I recently acquired a Z241 and the canvas cockpit and bow rain covers look pretty good.

There is also a 2 piece canvas top for the cockpit to be used when running the boat and it is also in good shape. Only problem is that there appears to be a zipper to attach clear vinyl side panels but not found. For those who had canvas tops made, did anyone also use clear side panels?
