Looking to buy this used 1997 Mariah but the person listing it for a family member has no clue what it is. From the pics any idea?

From the shape of the side windows i would say its a "Shabah". Knowing the overall length would help be exact but it looks to be a Z202

Yep,

Looks like a Shabah, could be a "Z", as I noticed the bow lights. If it is a Z, it will also have a power driver's seat and digital display near the radio.

You'll also find a hull ID # on the stern starboard side. In the first picture it looks like a darker red rectangle. You should be able to search by that as well to get some ideas.

AFAIK... there is only one person (ShabahZ280) who has a copy of the hull ID registration records for the original Mariahs and he hasn't been on this site in over a year now. There aren't any 'public' records out there to search. Given the OP has never responded or updated this thread, I'm assuming they've figured it out.

Not for sure about this but...look at the front of the fender. My guess is that it says shabah

'Fender' ? On a boat? Or did you mean the trailer? My '96 does have 'Shabah' on the rail in front of the fenders. The shape of the side glass tells me it is a Shabah for that model year. The side glass on a Talari comes to a point rather than the squared off design of the Shabah glass. I believe they all came from the factory with the model name on the side glass but that wears off after a few years/

In any event, the OP has never posted again so i guess he has figured it out or passed on the boat.
