Default Beaching a Jubilee 204 DB

So if you beach a Jubilee 204 DB is it hard to climb in and out at the bow with (as I understand it) the Jubilee is a deep hull. Or do you just get in and out from the aft?

Thanks,
Straightline

I never beach my boat.. sand wears the fiberglass.. I always anchor and walk in the water to shore..

You'll have to accept the lack of responses. This forum is quite slow and the Admins appear to have lost interest in it. Personally i dont beach my boat either but there are keel protectors that you can buy and install that will reduce the wear & tear if you prefer (or need) to beach your boat.

    Thanks Mikeyt,

We beach our boat most times we go out to the lakes around here. Yes I would recommend the keel protectors. Just wondering how much higher the Jubilee sits in the water than our current Bow Rider.

The admins should give up the job to someone else if the club is still active otherwise.

    Thanks for the reply,

My Jubilee 214 has a front ladder. Does the 204 not have that? I have beached my boat at McConaughy in Nebraska because the sand is so soft. Didn't have a problem getting in our out of either the front or the back. I usually push the boat out quite a ways anyway, so turning the boat first and letting people in the back almost worked better.

Thank you for that information. The 204 we are looking at does not have a front ladder and doesn't appear that the front locker is designed for one.

I cringe every time I see someone beach a fiberglass boat. Wears the gelcoat like a giant piece of 36 grit sand paper. Then you add in the weight of the boat and wave action and the gelcoat doesn't stand a chance.

That's why they make keel protectors. . .
