Default Smart Tabs Installed!

Per the recommendations here we went ahead and installed the Nauticus Smart Tabs (SX9510-60). Installation was easy enough. I have to admit though that I'm worried about the plastic nuts and bolts and them staying on. They are on hand tight or at least snug with a wrench up to the point they touch the sides of the plastic. Not too tight though as you can still see I'm not 'pinching' anything together and it all still floats freely.

Have not had any problems with mine. They have been in use for at least 5 years.

I like that they are not so tight. When I first got mine I would jump in the water and able to take it apart to try a different setting with no tools. Just be very careful not to drop the nut or bolt. So now when I am in the water I just give it a quick check once in a while to be sure they are still snug.

I have a friend with new to him boat and he's been sorting through a series of problems. I think it has a whale tale on the drive and I've told him to ditch that and get the smart tabs if his hull is appropriate for them.
