1990 2150 XLC information?

I'm new to this club and looking for someone that can answer a few questions for me. I recently purchased a 1990 2150 XLC and trailer. My problem is I can't find any type of brochure or manual anywhere that will give me the details on the boat's features. For example, since it has a washdown shower and a sink, I'm assuming there must be a freshwater tank somewhere on the boat, but I have been unable to find a fill spout anywhere. Also the washdown shower appears to be missing a part but without a photo of how it's supposed to look, I don't know what part is missing or what it's function is. There's many little nooks and crannys on this boat and I would really like to find some type of literature that covers the boat from bow to stern. Any suggestions? I really haven't had much chance to go through the boat itself as it's wintertime now and I live in upstate NY so I've really only been inside the boat for a quick inspection so far. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

The only 'information booklet' out there is the 1990 brochure and you have access to that as a paid site contributor.

Yes, it's true there's really no full "bow to stern" literature. Mariah clearly spent their time building quality boats and not working on documentation to go along with them! The owners manual is just a very generic overview of boating in general. It doesn't cover specific systems onboard. Your best bet is checking out the 1990 brochure, and maybe browsing through our gallery to find similar boat photos. And definitely asking any questions you may have in this forum. We've got a ton of friendly members here to help. :wink_thumbup:

But in response to your question regarding the transom shower and the sink. You'd definitely be able to spot a freshwater tank if you had one. They're large and made of aluminum. Pretty hard to miss! Also, you'd find a fill cap on the side of the gunwale. My guess is the transom shower likely may just pull water from the bottom of the boat. They're definitely not made to get you squeaky clean, just to hose off any sand or whatever after swimming... Now the sink... Does it have a small little lever with a black tip near the nozzle? If so, this is a pump sink, and there may, or may not be a small collapsible folding tank in a nearby storage cabinet. It'll look like this:

These were outfitted on many of the Mariah boats without freshwater tanks. They also tend to get lost or disappear between boat owner transfers... The good news is, they're available at West Marine for $12.99!

Hope this helps!

Thank you very much for the reply. I probably won''t be able to get back into the boat before the weather gets better but I'll check on those things then. I do have the original owners manual but it wasn't at all helpful. Browsed through a lot of the pics in the gallery too. I haven't been able to find the brochure for this boat anywhere online though. Would love to check it out so I know a little more about what the features are.
