Info aboout Mariah 182
 

I have just bought a Mariah 182 that is a 1998 model. I don't have an operators manual or anything to show me the buttons and there use. Can someone show me,where I can find more information.

Same response i gave to your other post. If it is a 1998 with a closed bow then its a '183' model.

In 1999 they had both a 182 (open bow) and 183 (closed bow)

Mine is open bow. The last 2 numbers on the VIN is 98 though .

According to the '98 brochure, they made a '179' and '180' open bow and a '183' closed bow. The easy way to tell the '179' & "180' apart is by the shape of the side windows. The 179 comes back to a 'point' where the 180 is more 'squared off' at the rear.

In 1997 they made the same '179', '180' and '183' models

In 1999 they made a '182' open bow and a '183' closed bow.

Just got title back it says it is a Mariah 182 and 1998 model; but according to the NADA Mariah 182 was made in 1999. What is right?

Dont know for certain. Perhaps it was a pre-production model made in 1998 but destined to be part of the 1999 model lineup. You could send PM to ShabahZ280 with the Hull ID# and he may be able to locate the original production / sale information for you.

Were you able to find info on your Mariah? Just bought my first Mariah this week and found this site. I am having the same issue as you are. Title says 1998 Model 182 but what I've been reading is that wasn't a true option for that year so I am curious what you learned.

As i mentioned earlier, its quite possible that your boat, along with the other members boat, was a pre-production or early production model that was technically destined for the 1999 model line-up but was actually sold in the last few months of 1998. Again, you can always send a private message to Admin (ShabahZ280) with your hull ID# and see if he responds. He has the majority of the original production documentation in hand.

And.... dont tell me you actually owned an East German 'Trabi' ?

Ok I might just do that so I know whether I should be putting 99 in when looking up a part.
And yes Trabi stands for Trabant, there’s one sitting in my garage here in South Carolina right now. Also have a Lada in the driveway. Ever hear of that one?

Yep.... 'Lada trouble'. :yes_grin: I owned a Lada 1500 back in the early 1990's and a friend of mine had a Trabant. Noisy smokey bugger it was.
