bow floor
 

my 2000 20 ft open bow Mariah has a spongy rotted bow floor. I am not sure if the floor is fiberglass or some other plastic material. I assume underneath the plastic material is plywood. Can I fix the floor and leave the top plastic intact? The bow floor has a small crack in . Can I fix that and if so what would I use? Thanks

I finished the floor. I cut out the plywood and braced the gelcoated floor from underneath. I used aluminum angle iron fgr bracing. it worked out good.

if you have any pictures I am in the planning stage and could use come guidance. also is there anything under that bow floor?
its probably a bad idea but I am itching to put in a ballast system (small) to counter bowrise at low speeds and make it easier for kids to ski.

where I put the bracing is where the water skis would go . I will take pictures but it will be awhile . It has rained here almost everyday for a month I will gladly answer any questions you have
