Default shabah 212

Hello everyone I'm new to site. I am buying a 1994 shabah 212. The boat is in excellent condition. The hull is in great shape and the interior only has 2 small rips in the bow where the stitching is starting to separating, the carpet is even in great shape. Repowered in 2009, old out, new 305 Mercruiser in. I do have a couple of questions. There is a switch next to the throttle. its a 2 way switch up says run and down says off. What is that for? And what is a good price for this boat?
thanks for any help,
jack

The switch is a safety cutoff. Normally you connect a lanyard from it to yourself somewhere, like a belt loop. If you move too far from the control, it is pulled out and the engine stops.

Looks like you got yourself a Z212 Shabah....
Incidentally, the word Shabah means "To take captive" in Old Testament Hebrew.
In Arabic, Shabah translates to "Invisible Ghost"....
Your Z212 has Captains Call exhaust and factory Barnegat docking lights. That tipped me to the Z212 instead of the basic 212.... The Z version has upgraded options, nicer paint, driving lights, and on and on...

I see in the photos, the boat was at the Shell Key preserve in SW Pinellas County. I am in Tarpon Springs at the other end of the county.

Yes it was. It was my father in laws boat. He bought it up here in Connecticut this past spring and brought it down there. But he wants a little bigger boat with a closed bow. I was down there last week and he asked if I wanted it. I jumped at it!!!

Is there an easy way to identify what model "Shabah" a boat is? I purchased a 1993 Shabah last week but am curious of the actual model of Shabah?

    Any help would be appreciated.

One of the Admins here (ShabahZ280) has a set of build list records that he can provide info based on your Hull ID# BUT.... he has been missing in action for almost a year now and apparently doesn't respond to private messages any longer.

Measure the OAL and upload a couple of photos which will help in identifying what model you have.
