95 Shabah 202
 
Out riding yesterday and the boat is running like a top. Then out of nowhere it shuts down. It fires right back up but will only idle along. After a while it would pick back up and run good but then it would shut down again. Once smelled a little gas like it was flooded but I was running steadily down the lake when it shut down. Any ideas?

Could be the Ignition coil overheating.

Have you tried checking your kill switch? The wiring and switch itself was bad on mine. That could be part of the problem.

I'm still learning the marine side of things but if a car did that the first thing I would check is the fuel pump/filter and the fuel pressure to the carb/EFI.
