Z275 Shabah Tachometer & Speed Indicator
 

Has anyone had trouble with these gauges not working? I am trying to save a little time troubleshooting. Neither the tach or the speed indicator are working. Any help for troubleshooting techniques would be greatly appreciated.

Do a search in the forus. You will find all kinds of info. I know my tachometer was acting up I rotated the engine selector on the back of it, but it never stopped working. Do the verify that the water line to the speedometer was unobstructed?

I KNOW that there was a post not long ago about the blocked speedometer "pitot tube" on the front edge of the lower outdrive. They said to take a small drill bit and twist it into the hole to clear out whatever was blocking it. I did this and my speedometer came right back. The speedometers work with direct water pressure through a tube right into the back of the gauge....
The tachometer had something to do with rotating the cylinder select switch around to dislodge any corrosion or build up in the switch.....

I will try those. Right now the boat is in the water while we get our trailer repaired. We will get the trailer back next week, pull the boat and I will try these. Thanks.
