When the 1994 brochure came out, the 27 footers had not been produced, so there were no photos, but there was a detailed drawing that covered 2 pages showing all of the features of the boat.

I always hear that you are supposed to position trim tabs as far to the outsides of the transom as possible without getting in the way of trailer bunks, etc.... the following is a paragraph from a Boating Magazine article:
The tabs should be mounted a few inches from the outward edge of the transom and about 1/4 inch above the bottom edge. Drill pilot holes for the two outward holes on top of each hinge plate so you can temporarily mount the tabs and mark the remaining holes. When you are ready to permanently mount the trim tab, remove the tabs before drilling the pilot holes. Put 3M 5200 adhesive sealant on the hinge plate and the screws. Drive each screw straight and do not overtighten.

1994 27 mariah 272 bowrider shore power question

i have a 1994 27 mariah bowrider and it has a 30 amp shore power hook up on the port side. i am trying to determine what that is there for. there is no fridge or anything like that, and i do not notice a switch for a battery charger, or a battery charger...unless i missed it. any help would be great on this.

There is a 110 outlet inside the boat. Some people bought the enclosure canvas to stay on the boat and plugged in televisions, microwaves, etc.

I believe there was a loophole in the tax code back then which would allow you to finance this as a second home and make the interest deductible.

JOHN,
are you asking me or telling me? or guessing like i am too...lol i know there are outlets on the boat. i am in the boating business here in new jersey...we typically see shore power when there is battery charger at a minimum...and obviously if the boat has galley equipment..ac..etc...

thank you paul...i see what you are saying from the financing aspect of it....i guess just not for the practicality of overnighting on a bowrider. seems a bit goofy to me...but to each their own

I do have the 94 brochure, I actually submitted it with others to this site when it was first started.
They waived my membership fees and made me a platinum contributor.

It's either in the 94 and 95 brochure, both of which are available on this site.
