Default 95 Talari 180- what size bimimi top ?

Just bought a 95 Talari 180. I want to add a bimimi top for shade. It looks like it had one previous as has brackets on window frame and brackets for strap. This is my first boat and could use some advice.
Thanks!

If you have a glass mount, I would think a 36 height would work for you. I installed a 46 on mine but that's because I mounted it on the gel coat.

Decide what you want of the top and how you want it to look. A Bimini top by definition provides visibility on all 4 sides and is tall enough to stand under. But that can mean it appears very high on boats like ours. You can buy them in many standard sizes but don't be afraid to modify it to suit your needs. For example, most are made of aluminum pipe and that pipe can be easily cut to change some dimensions. You want to keep the angle of the front and rear pipes close to the original so that the fabric fits well at the front and back. If the fittings are riveted in place, that may mean removing them and replacing them with other types. Generally the width and the length fore-to-aft are more important than the initial height.
Also keep in mind how it will stow when not in use. Some boat covers are very tight and won't allow anything like a stowed/folded top to be added. Initially mine could not be kept on the boat with the cover also, so I changed the mounting location to accommodate that.

I just swapped a 54 for a 36 on my 272. Got it from national bimini top. Great service
