Default Wake tower???

Has anybody installed this bad boy on there Mariah? If so do you know how difficult it is to install. Ive watched videos and they tell you how easy it is, we all know that's easier said then done! I just wanted to hear it from someone's personal experience if they ran into any issues during install before I order one.

    Did a Aerial Airborne 2.0 -

The freeride is a little different. I'd make sure that you put backing plates behind the fiberglass. I haven't had any cracking issues in mine. The side tubes bolt into the receiver at the top. Definitely have this tig welded together. It makes the frame rigid, the bolts will eventually wiggle and collapse the sidewall on the tubing....

Overall I've been very happy with my Aerial tower. It's a descent value....and getting the wakeboard off the floor near the backseat has opened up a lot more area in the interior.

I would say that adding a swim platform was probably the favorite modification to the boat I've made. Wakeboard tower is nice, but the added length on the back was a much better investment.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate your input. I probably wouldn't of thought about putting backing plates behind the fiberglass for extra support. By the way nice addition of the platform looks great on your boat, might be something I do next.

Mariah did make their hulls with thick fiberglass relative to some of the cheaper boats out there. The honches on mine were laid up pretty heavy - at least 1/4". The goal is to put hole in it without cracking the gel coat. You can google it and see some of the issues people have with thin fiberglass and no backing.
I'm glad I did mine! I'm a big dude (280lbs) and I actually make the boat list when I'm wakeboarding and pulling outside the wake. So far no cracks. Do the poly-resin, you won't regret it. Get the tower - you won't regret that either.

Firestone lost his horn because of where his wake tower mounted on the starboard side......

    Swimplatformsuperstore.com

These guys are located in Denver, CO. There are others out there, but they were only a 2 hr drive for me to pick it up so I saved money on freight. Want to say I did a writeup on my install but I'm too busy right now to find it.

Get it...it's worth the money. I bought the wedge, and about 24" deep. Think it was $1,200-1,300 or so... Knowing what I know now, I would pay double that for as much as I have enjoyed it.
