Default Hello and help

Hello everyone just found this and decided to join. Just purchased a 1999 Z212 thats in great condition for her year. Im so new that I don't even have a trailer hitch and was trying to find the specs to see her weight etc to decide what hitch to purchase.

Soon if anyone has suggestions or a spec sheet for her I would appreciate it.

BTW on I should be on Lake Lanier next weekend if theres anyone here that is in GA

Welcome to the club! Contributing members get access to quite a bit of info not avaliable anywhere else. Try doing a search for your boat if you don't get a reply. What size is your engine because that makes a few pounds of difference.

    Here you go
I want to add something about hitches.
Any kind of drop down on the hitch starts cutting total weight towing capacity significantly. A 2" receiver that is straight is usually 10,000#. You drop down 4"s, it cuts that to 6,000#. (That's with a 2 5/16" ball).
You also have to add in the trailer weight. Just figure 1500# on the safe side. So, everything added up, including fuel, fresh water, lake toys, you start getting close to the max weight of the receiver. (Well, kinda).
Always figure half the total in with the actual weight to see what size hitch you need.
Hitches are NOT the place or thing to buy off the "economy" aisle. Smell what I'm stepping in ?
