Default My first run

Took the boat out on sunday ran like a champ. Had it out about 1 1/2 hours. This was our first real run with this boat . Me and the wife are very happy with it. It does sit a little bit low in the water but thats ok. Didnt know how it was on gas but we used about 1/4 tank did not think it was that bad. Had it up to 45 mph and then the wife was telling me to slow it down just wanted to see what she could do. Well maybe next time. Have a little prob with the trailer it looks brand new but under the cross beams are all rusted out. So if anyone else has a prestige trailer take a look at the cross bars.(will post pics later)Going to paint the boats hull this week then put her in the water and get the trailer fixed. Hope it holds up for the trip. Not very happy with this trailer I would think it should have lasted a little bit longer than this.

Hi Mark, Sounds like you are having fun, pity the wife isnt a speed demon eh?
I have had mine up to 52 mph with the 4 blade SS 23p prop, will probably go faster with a 3 blade (MikeyT will be able to tell us more on this).
The reason for the rust on the trailer is it could possible not have been washed out fully after each use. I give mine a really good squirt each time it goes under water, including the brakes and the wheels.
I have heard of wheels rusting from the inside out causing major wheel failure, so I give it a real qood wash around the rim that attaches to the tyres.
My "so called" waterproof trailer lights got corroded the other day, so I cleaned them up and applied liberal amounts of waterproof grease to help keep the water out. I will have to keep and eye on it.
    Happy Boating this year.
