Had to tow a distressed Mariah yesterday

I was out with a couple friends on their Crownline yesterday when we noticed an original Mariah waving us down. Turned out to be a 2000 212 Shabah like mine that I hadn't seen on the lake before. Super nice couple that stated the engine just died and wouldn't start again. We towed them back to their house. While towing, I mentioned our website. They said they had seen it before, but didn't spend much time on it. I told them about all the resources we have here and they were highly interested. I hope they join and I hope their Mariah gets well soon! It was sad seeing such a beautiful boat (I swear I'm not biased!! ;)) in distress.

We also saw a lake patrol boat that turned out to be yet another original Mariah! I seriously think there's more Mariahs this year than last. Funny how an older boat can make a "come back" like it has.

That's a shame to hear, but good for you guys towing them in! That's what the world needs is more nice people. When my Z250 lost the impeller and overheated, I can't tell you how many people I flagged down for help with no response. Oh, and way to go with plugging the site!!

And that's funny, you mention you were on a Crownline, because Mariah and Crownline have quite a history together, little inside info, Jimmy Fulks and Fred Claxton both worked for Celebrity Boats in Benton, IL in the 80's. When Celebrity got bought out in '87, they both went their own ways and created their own companies. Both of the factories were located about 10 miles apart from each other. Both of them supplied Southern Illinois with thousands of jobs and community benefits. Just thought you'd like to know!
