mariah bucket seat weakness
 

hi all. have a problem with my front bucket seats in my 96 talari. the backrest section is not very rigid and will lean back about 4-5 inches when sitting in it. not very comfortable to sit in. I'm afraid the back will break off from the seat. I have the molded fiberglass seat that appears to be the frame for the entire unit. doesn't appear to have much support bracing molded inside the fiberglass. anyone else have this problem?

A few people have mentioned similar problems with these seats and sooner or later the fibreglass will crack/fracture. Probably best to find someone who specializes in fibreglass repair and have them work on the shell. They can add a little strength to it at the same time.
