Default Can you do it ?

Hello all. I just purchased my first boat ever. 1996 Shabah Z 212. Very excited for summer!
Here is my question... Can I replace the plastic light housing for the docking lights, and convert
them over to stainless steel ( or chrome, what ever material that is) and what years will fit in there?

Also the stainless piece is thicker.. I had to use the sander on my dremel to trim the hull opening a little.
