Re: Ferrari F430 boat molded from Z302 Mariah / Challenger hull

This is how it started:

In 1994, a California based company, located at 15662 Commerce Lane - Huntington Beach, CA 92649 was started and was called SONIC JET PERFORMANCE.
The founder of the company was Albert MARDIKIAN.

In 1998 ALBERT MARDIKIAN became Design Director and Chairman/CEO of International Operations holding a degree from Northrop University in aircraft maintenance , design and engineering.
Mr. Mardikian served as our Interim Chief Executive Officer from February 2001 to October 2001.
Mr. Mardikian was recently awarded the Certificate of Accomplishment from the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. He is also a member of SAE engineering group, International Boating and Safety Group and National Marine Manufacturer's Association.
In July 1998 Sonic Jet Performance was eventually traded on OTC.
The company branched out into Sonic Jet Delta (which has been selected to be placed as a Grand Prize on "Wheel of Fortune" television show), Sonic Jet Performances and MGS Grand Sport, Inc.

In the mid 90's they designed various prototypes and various boat, some of the them having a patented design.
In 2001, there was a particular boat that got most of the attention: a 22Ft long Sonic Jet Performance Vortex looking like a Ferrari 360.
Head lights, nose scoop, rear spoiler, choices of colors, etc ... were looks from the Ferrari 360 Modena.
Only 4 boats were made and one of each color representing the Ferrari 360: black, white, yellow and red.
ALL 4 boats are in the hand of collectors but the yellow and the red exchanged hands a few times. The red boat was sold for $40000 back in 2001 ... and now worth a lot more. The black is no where to be found and jealously kept in private collection.
On August 21. 2003 Sonic Jet Performances was renamed Force Protection Inc with a new CEO.
Albert Mardikian went into creating Harbor Guard Boat Inc and became the CEO.

On August 21. 2003 Sonic Jet Performances was renamed Force Protection Inc with a new CEO.
Albert Mardikian went into creating Harbor Guard Boat Inc and became the CEO.

This is how it ended:

In 2007, off Harbor Guard Boat Inc, a single company called Modena Sport was created and that's the manufacture of my boat.
Thus the Hull #: MSV for Modena Sport - 01014 is the serie # 01 (first series made) and the # 01 model (first model ever made) out of the 4 originally planned in the 4 colors (black, white, yellow and red).
We designed, build the mold and created this unique, original, one of the kind, instant collectible boat.
It's been inspired to commemorate the 2007 Ferrari F430 Scuderia, which was unveiled at the Auto Show in Frankfort by Michael Schumacher.

It's the only boat ever build by the company .... that's the only one in the world.
Built with a blank check in an excess of $250000

Needless to say, I am very much attached to this boat emotionally and financially wise. So if you want this unique boat ... it will cost you.

The boat
Now that you know where this boat is from, the history, the thought of it and the uniqueness of it, let me tell you more about it.
Motor:
It's powered by a Mercury 502 MPI, pushing around 500Hp. Outdrive is a Dual prop Bravo III with stainless steel blades.
The motor has been serviced with brand new water pump and raw water pump.
Currently the motor has 6 hours of use since original and ONLY use in fresh water. Motor is NOT broken in yet.
The 2 batteries are brand new.
Cockpit:
The open bow is an added feature, seating comfortably 4 peoples. LEDs all around including the cup holders.
Mid cabin has a microwave, it's own radio, bathroom with a sink, seating for 4 more peoples, TV. LEDs lighting.
Main area has bolster electric seats with Ferrari badge. a FERRARI steering wheel with center badge. You will find an additional stainless sink, 110V outlet, FARIA gauges, Brand new VHF, ASUS tablet with internet and GPS.
Radio:
There is a brand new Sony radio in the mid cabin and a brand new Sony radio in the cockpit.
The mid cabin has an amplifier with 1600 Watts, 3 speakers while the cockpit has 4000 Watts, 6 speakers and a subwoofer. That's a cool 5600 Watts total.
Trailer:
It's a matching 2010 PACIFIC trailer, triple axle, brakes.

I own the boat free and clear, boat title on hand and trailer title on hand.
Boat has been very rarely seen in public. Last time was this week in Lake Havasu AZ where the pictures were taken.
It's been the center of attention, lots of people took pictures, shook hand to quite few other boat owners (mostly high end boats) and even has been filmed by a local crew shooting a mini series .... boat won't be seen as I did not sign a release.
This boat is part of my collection and been cherished since new.

Boat is in LAS VEGAS.

I read the thing twice but maybe I missed something. . . It looks an awful lot like a Z300 with modifications. Or is that just me?

Re: Ferrari F430 boat molded from Z302 Mariah / Challenger hull

It's a Z302 with a custom molded top half of the hull. The back story seems irrelevant, especially since Mariah didn't release this hull to the public until 1998.

Here's what I can tell by careful investigation of the pics.
1. It's still got a Mariah steering wheel insert, or at least it sure looks like one.
2. It's still got a Mariah shorepower panel in the mid cabin.

You're going to customize the entire boat, by molding ferrari style headlights (which you can't legally use on the water, btw), and other custom molded features into the top half, add a custom head compartment, change out all the vinyl upholstery etc, and not pay an extra $25 to change out the steering wheel center cap logo, or spend $10 and get a customized vinyl decal wrap for the shorepower panel to de-identify it as a Mariah?

Unique yes. Worth 90k? No, but that's just my .$02. Do your research on "Albert Mardikian"... I'd be a little skeptical, to say the least. I also didn't know it was legal to take an already patented hull design that was made by someone else, and rebrand it with your own manufacturers hull ID number. Something just screams shady here...

I have to say I was not paying attention to the title of this post yesterday. I even read it twice to see the part that clearly says it was molded off of the Mariah! I'll blame taptalk for now!
Anyways... How is this a 2007 when it looks like a 2000?

Re: Ferrari F430 boat molded from Z302 Mariah / Challenger hull

I guess if you grind the original serial number off and add your own, it can be whatever year you want it to be?

One thought that ran through my mind is a salvage insurance claim. Perhaps a sunken boat, or one that had the top half of the hull severely damaged, and someone bought it and redid everything to their liking... Now trying to sell it as a one-off high end custom... But with that unmistakable hull and configuration, plus the aforementioned other things, there's really no hiding the fact it was once, and still remains a Mariah underneath all the "2007" options.

Sweet! I do have a questions though......I am one of the "lucky" owners of a Sonic Jet. Do you have any idea about actual production numbers? I am an original owner of a yellow boat, and just did a full restoration, swapping out the engine for a brand new 577HP LSA engine. I am an original owner and know that there are at least 3 other yellow boats out there (with ridiculous looking Ferrari stickers on them).

Sorry, we don't have any info on Sonic Jet boats. We just have Mariah boats here.
