7.4 carter AFB carb metering rod springs
 

Have major problems with flooding and very rich fuel mixture. Took the carb apart and noticed the two metering rod springs are different. Shouldn't these be the same? One takes a lot more effort to compress than the other. I do know that vacuum keeps these rods pulled down into the jets to limit fuel flow, but the springs create resistance against the vacuum pull. I ordered a set of springs and have a color coded assortment of them. What color springs are you carter/weber guys running on your 7.4?
