Fuel Pump change mercruiser v6 2000
Engine won't start unless I manually feeding fuel.
Fuel filter changed. Ran power directly to fuel pump and it doesn't make a noise. (Does it whine while on?)

If you can't "feel" it working , or hear it , it's more than likely locked up. Seems trash in fuel system is usually the culprit. The pump is a fairly easy replace. Unplug wire harness , remove inlet/outlet lines and remove from mounting bracket. Being your old pump isn't working , should be little if any fuel leakage. :) What water line are you referring too? The line from the fuel filter/water seperator unit maybe? Again , little to no leakage should happen. |

I was worried about leaking all over my waterproof boat... I asked about the water line because it is in my darn way |

Re: Fuel Pump change mercruiser v6 2000
You mentioned you changed the fuel filter. You do know that there is (or should be if someone hasn't removed it) another filter in the fuel line right next to the carb...right? Its nothing more than a screen but it can get clogged up too...
