reverse stalling !!!!!
Hello,
Well I took the boat out this year and had a new problem that I have never had before. When i try to put the throttle into reverse the motor dies. About 50% of the time. I am completely lost. It has never done this before. I am mechanically inclined but have no idea what to do or where to start. I have a 91 Mariah 1850....V -6 with the alpha drive. Am wondering if this is a simple adjustment of the cables???? I have no issue with going into forward gear at all....Sometimes if Im quick i can get into reverse before motor dies...Any and all help is appreciated!!!!! Talk slow as Im still new to all this fix it stuff....lol...Ralph |
Re: reverse stalling !!!!!
Ralph ,
Take a look at this thread for cable adjustment. It could be out of adjustment. It could be the shift interrupt switch that is going , but I bet it's cable related. Is it hard to get in reverse? Here is more info on the symptom you describe. It explains the issue in easy to understand terms. :) Believe me.........I need easy directions too!:wink_thumbup: |
