4.3lx what filters
 

Need help on what filters to use for oil and fuel. Part numbers would be nice.

Also what type of oil? I have read 40w, is this correct?

What year are we talking about? Is it carbed or fuel injected?

hmmmm.... i dont have my boat handy to check the part numbers but my winterizing invoice from last year indicates an 18-7879 oil filter and a 18-7844 fuel filter. I'm assuming those are mercruiser numbers. I also see they use SAE 30 oil but i have used 25W-40 Sierra oil in the past.

Hi snopro1978. We have a 1996 with a 4bbl, so the parts should be the same. I've been using NAPA parts. Oil filter is a NAPA 1036 or NAPA 1040. Both fit, but the 1036 is slightly longer. Fuel filter/water separator is NAPA 3226. Hope this helps!
