Default Oil change

Has anyone ever used the 12v oil changer that goes into the dip stick? If so how well did it work.

I've got one & used it. It does okay but it's a little slow. You do have to warm up the motor oil first (so the oil flows a little faster) before trying to use it.

I used mine for the first time when I winterized the boat. After I warmed the boat up (with the muffs on), and used the fogging oil to kill the motor, then I pumped the oil out with the 12 volt dipstick pump. Works alright.

My last boat had a flexible line with a brass plug in it that installed to the drain plug in the oil pan. All you had to do was put it out the rear drain plug hole and drain the oil that way. I think I liked that a lot better. I may look into getting one and installing it on my Mariah.
