Questions on fresh water flush system
 

My boat has the petcock valve in front of the engine and this is where it draws water into the water pump. It is not through the lower outdrive like most. So it is a pain in the butt to crawl under the boat and trailer to put the pole mounted water flusher under there. I wanted to put a "T" at the petcock and run a line up to the topside of the boat next to the cleat and put a closeable water hose fitting. This way all I have to do is open the fitting and screw my garden hose in, and then crank the engine.

So here is the million dollar question: Has anyone done this? I want to make sure I do it correctly, but it seems like such a simple task. The only hard part would be cutting a hole in the outer deck.
