spark plug help again
 
I have a 99 7.4L MPI. I have replace my spark plugs with NGK BPR6EFS and the old ones are NGKR BR6FS. The threaded length is longer on the new one! Not sure isf I should start the boat! Help

Had the marina xreferance the serial number of the engine and bpr6efs is the correct spark plug.why would the shorter thread br6fs beused by the previous marina. I hopeit hasnot caused a. Problem. Sorry for the grammar, using the wifes crackberry

If the marina says the ones you have now are the right ones, i would say you are ok. Using shorter threads I don't think will cause any damage, but i bet they were alittle less efficient, whereas using too long of threads could potentialy cause the cylinder heads to hit the spark plug, but if the marina says they are ok, then I would use them.

thanx recelect, replaced the plugs last weekend and she runs like new. Team1marine & shabahz250 were correct............thanx again
