I have a 1996 Talari 7.3L. It is making a grinding noise at 2000 rpm from what looks like the fuel pump. Does anyone know where I can order a replacement pump or have a part number for this ? I snapped a couple of pictures. I'm not to good with a digital camera though. Thanks!-John

H John, I believe what you're looking at is the combination fuel pump and sea water pump. When was the last time you had the impeller changed?

Thanks for the reply! I believe it was 2 years ago I had the impellar replaced.

The impeller shouldn't be making any grinding noise, but you might want to give a listen to the front nose bearing in the pump housing.

It definatelu sound like a bad bearing. Do you have any expieeienxe changing the bearing. I assume you have to replace the pump and not just the bearing.

Nope I never had to get into the front of the pump, but it is repairable. The manual is on here. Doesn't look too bad. Good luck.
