'94 Talari 200z overheating?
I have a 94 talari 200z with the 5.0 mercruiser. I just started it for the first time this year. Let it come to temp. Did not see any water flowing out the exhaust. (i had muffs on it). Temp. went up to just above 175 and the alarm sounded. I definitley have enough gear oil. There was no water leaking in the engine compartment. How do I tell if it's my impellar or the thermostat? Any other things I should do or check? I'm a very amateur mechanic so please tailor any answers as such. :) Thanks!!

Re: '94 Talari 200z overheating?
You should have had water flowing with muffs, so there may be a blockage somewhere. start with the water flow path first, take a hose off the waterpump and see if you get flow there, then go to the next location because if you put water in then you should get water out.
