Bravo 3
I am restoring a 1994 Mariah Talari 200 it had a blown up 305 in it with a bad drive got it for a gr8 deal. I have found a mercruiser 357 Magnum Bravo 325 hp 5.8 L suppose to have same torque as a 454 and more horse power. I think I need to have a bravo outdrive that will handle the hp and torque of this engine so I got a bravo 3 outdrive whole assembly with transom and all for a good deal it has low gears in it 2.43 but it was in good shape along with the 24" props or should I go with bigger props 32" ? Or find out what gear ratio to go with to using what props? I was thinking of replacing the upper drive with bravo 1 since they interchange but want to know what would be a good ratio considering the boat weighs 2550 empty and its almost 20' long.
I would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions thanks Shane HELP |
Re: Bravo 3
Damn, that thing will rip with that motor. Very light for that much power. Good luck!
