Cross-Threaded Trim Cylinder
 

After approximately 2 years without enough water here in the Republic of Texas, the ramps were exposed in the mud. Most of the ramps here were closed. Now we get more rain than we can handle. Some lakes are closed due to flooding. Unable to find the ramp, parking lot, restrooms, etc. All under water.
Anyway, I am ready to take out the boat. I notice one of the trim cylinders has a minor leak. It was the fitting. After removing the line, I find it is cross-threaded. This is a result of creative maintenance from a previous owner. The part that sucks is that there is otherwise nothing wrong with the trim cylinder. The cross-threading ruined it.
I found a new starboard Alpha 1 Gen2 trim cylinder (starboard) for $105.00. I decided to order new lines and bushings as well.
Now I an on vacation and I wait for parts to arrive while it is over 100 degrees. :(
