Kill Switch for a 1992 Diablo
My Kill Switch is becoming a little flakey. You have to "jiggle" it to get it to work. Does anyone know where I could purchase a replacement or OEM switch that fits on the shifter assembly.

What motor do you have ?
If you have a 3.0L as your profile states , it should be on the dash. Are you referring to the neutral safety switch maybe? |
Re: Kill Switch for a 1992 Diablo
Im referring to the kill switch (Dead man switch) located on the shifter assembly, not on the actual arm of the shifter but on the whole assembly. Bottom left of the shifter arm.

What brand and model shifter do you have?
Can you shoot a pic? |
Re: Kill Switch for a 1992 Diablo
After looking around , it sounds like you have the Quicksilver 3000 shifter.
Check out this thread. Is part #24 the switch you are after? :) Here is the one you need I believe. #87-133983 , available at mercruiserparts.com Probably find it elsewhere too:) |
Re: Kill Switch for a 1992 Diablo
Very similar shifter.... (WOW your good.... I searched for ages trying to find that). Shape is different, I have a release dead center of the shifter to throttle the engine out of gear. The trailer raise is on the arm just below the top of the shifter..... BUT the important thing is that kill switch is in the same spot a looks exactly as what I need.
Thanks again. Ill see if Doug Russell Marines can source one for me. |
