talari 216 fuel fill
Would anybody know the correct diameter of the pipe section of a fuel cap assembly. It's either 1.5'' or 2''.
i want to remove the old cap and its' integrated short pipe and fit a new filler cap assembly. THis has to fit into the rubber pipe below which leads to the tank. i need to be able to match up the pipe from the filler assembly with the rubber tube. regards |

Re: fuel filler for talari 216
yes i did - boats and boating said the original attwood is no longer available and suggested Attwood Gas Fill, 1.5 Inch Stainless Neck, Flip Open Cap. this however is an angled assembly with a breather. i am pretty sure the existing one is straight down with no breather. its almost impossible to see and i will have
to cut a large hole in the upvc to get my hands through to unsccrew - i believe it is secured with a jubilee clip. This must be one of the most awkward jobs as ideally one woud rempve the rear bench seat to give a bit more room to get at things Anyway, it doesn't answer the vexing 1.5'' or 2'' questiion. |
Re: fuel filler for talari 216
We've had a few people inquire about replacing fuel caps so i'll have a look around the site to see if anyone has located a non-vented cap. In the meantime, my tape measure says 1.5"
added info: I think i gave you this one back in Aug 2012 - Attwood "Indy style" SS 1.5 fuel cap there is also these from: Dana Marine |
