Hmmmm.. If it works, this would certainly give me some incentive to replace my faulty trim sender unit. I never understood why it was routed thru the outdrive housing anyway.

That is a interesting setup Mikey.
It looks like it is a Quicksilver part , which would lead me to beleive it is of decent quality anyway. I just ain't real hot on the idea of two more cables hanging off the back of my boat. I already got a transducer cable and a speed/water temp on the starboard side.
If and when mine goes out it might be a nice option though.

Wow! Those are really cool. My trim senders have never worked for me and I have not replaced them just due to the cost. It seems like a cool idea, but I am thinking like Colorado...I also have 2 lines on my transom already and adding 2 more LARGE ones might push me back into just waiting until I have to remove my outdrive. Awesome product though!
