I have broken stainless piece on step in front of the cabin door. I am not sure what it is, however there isn’t a step allowing me to climb up to the bow. Does anybody know if this was some type of step to be able to climb up on the bow?

The step to climb up to the bow on the Z280 is molded into the cabin door. You must close the cabin door to access the bow deck from the cockpit. Do you have a picture of the broken piece of stainless?

That is a latch that prevents the door from sliding when the boat is rocking.
