Hi again Jeff,
What I'm looking for is the Large Shields on the hull and seat backs, the small Round decal for the steering wheel and you mentioned the large "Mariah"for the sides, the thick ones, not the vinyl tape ones, if they are the gold ones like the picture, I'll take two of these as well. Here's are some pictures on the exact decals I looking for, 4 shields and 2 Mariah scripts for the hull http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...ls/Shields.jpg Sorry Ryan, hope you don't mind me borrowing one of your pictures.... I am also looking for the small ones like these that fit in the steering wheel, I need 2: http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...ahStickers.jpg Thanks again, WetWilly |
Hey Jeff!
Do you have a PayPal? That would be pretty awesome and fast to pay you. Do you agree...huh? |
Hey WetWilly
You been greedy....come on...let us to have one too:D:D |
Wetwilly,
Those don't appear to be my photos. My Mariah has the older vinyl tape lettering. http://inlinethumb39.webshots.com/17...600x600Q85.jpg edit: As you can see .. the side shield emblems are missing. :( |
Ryan,
My is missing in same place....exactly in same spot:yes_grin: |
Hi Earthbound Misfit, you sure know how to create a stir on this board!!
Welcome aboard and it is great of you to offer up your hoard of shields. Are you in contact with any of your old work buddies? Perhaps they also have some collectible items in their basements that they might want to part with? Being a new Mariah owner I am obviously in no need of these items, but perhaps some day down the track I will upgrade my SX18 to an older style Mariah, you guys definately have me sold on them. :wink_thumbup: |
I also need one decal.... if anyone see's anymore on ebay or wherever let me know. Thanks:wink_thumbup:

Sorry,I don't have paypal!
The side letering I may have is like the one on 180diablo's boat. I have 4 of the small ones for the steering wheel, and 10 or 11 of the round ones that went on the gunnwale upholstery I may also have a couple of hats that were hardly ever worn. I know I had a floresent pink one and a multi-colored "Flowerdy Hawaiian" one. I run into a few of the old crew every now and then. I'll make an effort to track a few down! I have a buddy that used to have a silk screen shop,he was still doing some work at his house last I heard. Very reasonable. Hoodies and long sleeve T's too. I do alot of grafics on photoshop for my budies band, for posters, web pages,CD covers and that kind of stuff.I would be interested in doing some T-shirts, old style or some original design ,If we wouldn't get in trouble with them! you can see some of my work at my myspace page. Click here I did the animated Pink Floyd and Biohazard Custom Paint (thats me) things.and there is a slideshow of some other stuff too!I would like to do some "Mariah" stuff! Later, Jeff |
the link to myspace seems to not work but that is the address if you type it in!

I know, I have one of them. I'm trying to find someone who can reproduce it in Navy Blue. So far I've had no luck and guess what, I've seen other 96 Mariahs with the script instead of the block print like the 209 Talari and the Z212 limited. I have to admit, I kinda like the script better. I think it looks classier and flows better with the lines of the hull and being gold, matchs the shields too. WetWilly |

Hey Jeff, I'll take the multi-colored "Flowerdy Hawaiian" one, you can save the "other" one for Mikeyt.. :rolling_laugh::rolling_laugh: The side lettering, it wouldn't be Navy Blue would it? As for the tees, silkscreen and stuff, I like the idea but let's give ShabahZ250 and MariahMan a jingle and see what they think, we certainly don't want to get a into any trouble here! Wow, your My Space is pretty cool, love the Pink Floyd and Biohazard, I'll have to check it out more throughly later, now it's off to the grocery store for food or the wife and kid are gonna kill me! WetWilly |
I'd be interested in 1 for sure since mine is pealed off.

[QUOTEThe side lettering, it wouldn't be Navy Blue would it?
][/QUOTE] Sorry dude I think it might be maroon!! Yeah lets run that t-shirt idea by ShabahZ250 and MariahMan ! I airbrush too ,I used to do alot of car portraits back in the day,Maybe I can hook you up with a custom painted shirt! Thanks for checkin' out that myspace thingy! Link over to some of my buddies bands sites in "My Friends" section. I run the light show for J.A.B. and do all of their posters and web page pix and stuff. They are superb musicians! Two of the guys opened up for Head East in the 70's!Exelent classic rock band "Metal Toyz" is gonna blow the roof off tonight!! Jammin' to some 80's METAL!! get them kids fed before they eat each other!! Later, Jeff |
Believe me, i've thought about the silkscreening idea, as I have a four color silk screening setup in my basement! There will be more details coming soon... Perhaps around the 1year anniversary of the site (july).
While we're on the topic of decals, do you remember who produced the decals Mariah used? Were they made in house, or did you receive them pre-made from another company? |
I would if possible or if you find anymore decals like to get 2 of the big shield decals and 2 of the small round decals or whatever you have left after evryone else gets what they want. I would appreciate it thanks if possible.

Thanks, that helps! I just wanted to verify who actually applied the decals, I had heard some references to Auto Trim Design before!
|
Hey Jeff!
What's up with decals? Are you going to sell them to us? Or i already missed my boat? Let me know |
Hey guys, maybe i missed something but is there a spot to purchase the raised shield type emblems? I need two on my boat. (approx 6"tall by4" wide for the exterior hull area, and a small 3" tall by 2" wide for the swim deck area below the ski hook)
Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times already. Any sources? |

WetWilly did some searching & found that you can also purchase the new versions (with silver edging) directly from the following vendor: Chatlee Boat & Marine 2615 Jefferson Davis Hwy Sanford, NC. 27330 Sales person: Jonathon Nowell Ph: (919) 775-7259 Fax: (919) 774-1203 As of 11/07: The large Shields for the hull and seat backs were $24.95 each The small Shield for the steering wheel was $12.95. The shipping to California was $10. |
Wow, looks like they have gone up in price.
I purchased the "new style" silver emblems from Pride of Muskoka (over a year ago) for $15 each. Since then, the marina is no longer selling Mariah boats. But I wonder if they can still order in parts for Mariah boats? |
"I'm the $100.00 idiot,guys lol
Hey guys-When I bought my Z last summer the shield emblem was missing from the left side hull.I could have gotten one in Feb. or Mar. on ebay for $30 to $50 but I snoozed and lost.It was alot of money(tank of gas these days),but could'nt stand having my other woman naked on the lake.Like WetWilley said;once they're gone-they're gone forever-------Later dudes, Larry J.
|
Hmmm, its been almost a month. Haven't seen Earthbound online in about a months time frame. I wonder if he is going to return? and I wonder if those emblems are still up for grabs?
If not, I may just slap on my new style emblems for now. |
180diablo,
I would go ahead and put on the new silver decals. You can always replace them if you get gold ones. The silver will match the rails on your boat and only a hard-core Mariah fan would notice the difference. If you put them on post some pics, I bet they will look good and many others will do the same!:wink_thumbup: |
mariah side name plate
i need the name mariah for the side of my z212 limited.thanks and give me a price:D

I'll see if I can document the progress as well. |
That'd be awesome if you could document it! That way people could see how the new shields look on the old models. :)

If anyone is missing the Shield sticker on their steering wheel, this is what the new Mariah shield looks like.
Though it doesn't stick out like the original gold one did, I think it blends in better with all the silver and chrome from the steering wheel, dash and windshield. WetWilly |
Shield Decal
We contacted Sea Fox and were directed to a dealor to purchase a new decal. They charged us $20. The new decal looks exactly the same. It is a bit more silver but has a gold tint to it so it matches just fine. We ordered an extra one just in case we lose one in the future. If you need one we used and it took about a week.

Hi Curt,
Is it possible for you to post a picture of one of your new Shield Stickers? I purchased a set of the new Mariah Shields and they did not have any gold tint at all so I am curious about yours as the gold tint would definitely look closer to the originals. Here are a couple of pictures of the new Shield I purchased next to the original from the back of the seat. As you can see, the new one on the left is chrome and doesn't have any tint in the clear coating: http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...OldShield1.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...OldShield2.jpg Thanks, WetWilly |
Wetwilly, the silver matches great with that steering wheel! :wink_thumbup:
Those are identical except for the gold underlay. I bet it is made by the original Co. that old Mariah used. I wonder, if asked, if they would do special order with gold instead of silver. I am sure we could order enough to make it worth their effort! And if not, at least we have the silver option |
Thanks z275st, I agree, the chrome goes great with all the silver around the dash and wheel.
As our two hull shields are pretty gouged up now, due to leaving the Talari in the hands of some landlubber friends while in a guest birth at a marina, I'm getting ready to replace them with the new ones but I would like to see the ones Curt Schneidewind purchased, he said they have a gold tint. WetWilly |
decal
I just looked at the extra one we just purchased and it is definitely silver, like yours. I think ours just looks goldish on the boat because it is next to the gold Mariah letters, or a reflection from the water, or just the lighting. Regardless, on the boat, they look almost exactly the same - sure looks better than the adhesive remains!
|
Hi Curt,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly on your Shield decals! I agree, they do look great compared to a blank spot or the sticky residue!!! :wink_thumbup: WetWilly |

Yeah ... like this guys boat ....... http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3249/...5b60f0b1f0.jpg :eek_animated::rolleyes: |
That definitely seems like a .psd template was transferred in the sale... I think the silver was changed as the gold look kinda faded and silver has become more popular. I would have to agree that the same company is probably printing those graphics. I haven't been able to find out who actually makes the graphics. That is the key, once we find out who is printing them for Mariah we can get the "gold" style printed pretty easily...
