Selling our 1998 Shabah 182
This season it's becoming pretty apparent that we've outgrown our 18' Mariah. :( Our oldest (13) is bringing friends with us now and 5-6 people makes it a tad tight. lol.
If you have any suggestions on my ad or on the price, I am all ears. :wink_thumbup: 1998 Mariah Shabah 182 |

Wish you were closer..
I couldn't get the ad to open - i'm not sure if you deleted it or craigslist removed it. |
Re: Selling our 1998 Shabah 182
Sorry about that, it looks like it has sold already so I removed the ad. I listed in on CL last Wednesday at $9,000, the first couple that came to look at it gave me a deposit without even water testing it. They told me "this boat is in better condition than boats we've looked at that are only 5 years old". They didn't even haggle on the price. lol. They're planning to come pick it up today or tomorrow.

In my search for a bigger boat for the family I stumbled upon this Z222 that's nearby... I'd sure love to buy this but it wont fit in my garage and i'm not sure I can feed it!

Re: Selling our 1998 Shabah 182
That looks like poker of the Z models I found up that way. It's a little higher than I want to spend our travel.... but man is that thing nice.

Re: Selling our 1998 Shabah 182
I never did do a follow up. We ended up finding a 2008 Caravelle 217LS with the 5.0 Volvo Penta GXi with only 39 hours on it. Always garaged and dealer serviced, I even got the full service history from the dealer it was purchased from. While she's not the same quality level of the Mariah she does have some newer features we were looking for like wood free construction, walk through transom, pop up cleats, and snap in carpet. I must say though, when you look down the sides of this boat it's not a mirror smooth finish like the Mariah was!
Notice I still had the "Mariah Boats" sticker in the back window of the Ram when I took this picture. lol. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-a..._resized_1.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Y...608_112955.jpg |
Re: Selling our 1998 Shabah 182
It might not be a Mariah, but it's still a nice looking boat. I almost pulled the trigger on a 95 Davanti, and backed out in hopes of finding a newer model. Fingers crossed.. i'm hoping to either snag my neighbors Crownline, or possible a family friend's 99 Shabah. They discussed selling it after this season, and I asked them to keep us in the loop. It's a nice boat with the 350mag and bravo3, captains call, etc. I would prefer it over the Crownline. This season on the Ohio river would have been bad for a boat.. so much rain.. debris.. etc.
Hoping next year we'll be back on the water as well. Nick |

It does look nice. We love our walkthrough transom... but your guests will still climb over the gunwales and all over the seats. :shakehead:
