Default Hello

Just bought a 96 jubilee 244 in great shape. Can't wait for the weather to get warm enough to go to the lake. It has the 5.7 merc. I know boat weight 5100lb. Anyone know a ball park top speed this boat should run and if they pull skiers ok. I've owned 7 boats in my life but this is first I/O. Thanks.

Welcome to MOC! If you have a gander in the "prop section" you might stumble on a Jubilee with the same motor/prop and they may have the info you are looking for. As for skiers, I dont think that would be a problem.

Welcome to the board Big Dave! Congrats on your "new" Mariah!

The 1996 brochure states 46-52mph for the Z244. Don't expect to get exactly those numbers, they're usually slightly inflated. I'd expect you to be in the low to mid 40's. Which is a totally fine speed!

And as motoxxx43 said, pulling skiers should be no problem at all! The Z244 in my opinion is probably one of the best boats for watersports due to it's open configuration. Tons of room for skiers and their gear to ride comfortably.

Thanks a lot. Normally I would have never purchased a boat without a test drive. But I have purchased from this person before and he will take care of any problems I may have. And from what I've seen on here I can get great info and help from other members. Once again thank you.

I would say a 19 pitch 4 blade stainless steel. I got a merc 5.7 with it out of the hole very good.

Finally got my jubilee on the water. Was extremely ruff water and it ran great. 43mph at about 4000 rpm. Never even got it to wot. These 24 footers really handle ruff water great.
