New boat owner
 
I just recently purchased my first boat. Talari 240 with a 454 and a bravo III out drive with 28p props. I have a quick question running at 2800 rpm and gps shows 42 mph. That's all the rpms I can get. Is my tach wrong or do I need to adjust my throttle.

First off, welcome aboard!

Second.... if you can only achieve 2800 rpms on the tach then something is wrong, either the tach is out of adjustment or you really have the wrong prop. Your WOT rpms should be right around 4600. Try this fix for the tach issue first. Access the backside of the tach and you should find a small dial marked "2-4-6-8" cyl. Give the dial a spin a few times there Vanna and then re-set it to 8 cyl and let us know if that resolves things.
