Hello All !!
Hi everyone !! my name is Ralph and i am new to the Mariah boat world. I just purchased a 1999 Mariah 212. The boat is in pretty good shape just needs a little TLC. I do have a few questions if anyone could help me answer them that would be great!! First is how do i get the back seat apart so i can get to the engine easier and second the depth finder was working fine then all of a sudden it started blinking 0.5 every time i turn it on now lol. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !!:wink_thumbup:

Re: Hello All !!
Welcome aboard Ralph. First, i'm not quite sure what style rear seating you have (bench vs individual seats) so a pic makes things easier. I'm sure you are aware that the engine hatch is hinged so that's a start. On my boat the rear seats/engine box are also hinged to tilt forward giving me full access to my engine.
As for the depth finder, that question gets asked her almost on a daily basis. Usual cause is the transducer coming loose from its epoxy mount underneath the front of the engine. It's a b1tch to get at but a simple repair. Do a site search here for 'transducer' and you will find lots of threads discussing the matter. |
Re: Hello All !!
Thanks for the fast reply and my seat is a bench seat and I do notice the hinges at the bottom but I don't know how it works I can open the storage at the bottom but don't know how to tilt the whole thing. Any help would be great thanks again !!

Re: Hello All !!
West systems flex.epoxy works great for reattaching the transducer (the transducer looks like a black hockey puck with a wire coming out of it and sits in a cutout in the bilge liner)
And yes like mikey said. .. Lift the Sun pad then grab the top of the bench seat and pull it forward the whole thing will hinge on the front edge Sent from my HTC0P3P7 using Tapatalk |
